FOTD

Wheeee! So, I couldn't stand logging onto my page and seeing that horribly mismatched foundation pic.. SO.. yes. You guys get a scheduled post--NOW! :P

So.... well, as we were about to leave, I scrubbed it off my face and went with my concealer+powder duo and put on some eyeshadow and lipstick :) sooo I decided to take a pic of my face.

This is my FACE that I wore to the bf's bday dinner.. just the two of us.. drove 30 min down to Oxnard to eat at BJ's Brewery.. one of his fav places in the WORLD.. he is totally obsessed with the avocado egg rolls and the oreo pizookie.

Too lazy to color correct.. so.. these may be too dark.. too bright.. just deal with it :) haha.

Used the Lancome palette described in THIS post. I took these pics after we got home.. so.. the color faded a bit, but not too much. Forgot to use a base again.. I need to get on that D: gah! Anyway, you'll be able to see better color rep from later pics.

Oh, and I forgot to use mascara or curl my lashes. Need to get on that too! Gargh!

I always have trouble getting him to have natural smiles in pics.. seriously it takes me 10 pics to get 1 good one.. hahahaa. So, this is usually his "smile".. awkward.. he's gonna be annoyed with me if he sees this pic up :P but I liked how I looked so..

FOTD?!

Well, sort of :P I used the Lancome palette that I posted about a little while ago. Man, for being a photographer, I really suck at taking pictures of my EOTD's. Anyway, enough of you girls asked for a FOTD/EOTD.. so.. here ya go! :P

My eyes also decided to fold in and give me a sort of double lid. But hey, you can kind of see the blue/green on my lower lid! :P

You can't really see any of the colors.. so.. I don't think I'm going to bother to describe my application. Hmm, I think this is one of the reasons why I want to get a new point and shoot, hahaha. Mine's kindaaaa old.

I did use mascara (for once)! Quite obvious, sorry about the black specks on my eyelids, I forgot to apply with a post-it :(

Lashes, lashes, more lashes. I may actually do a post about them later, if anyone's interested. As for now, I'm tired and too lazy to look up what I used :P but I know I *did* get it from Katie (xiaokai-bbyxkt) if anyone wants to look back at that post (where I got that huuuuuuge love pack from her). I was going to take pictures for comparison but I was already running late(ish).

Ah, but hey! Lookie, double lid! And I didn't use a base (forgot) sooo.. you can also see the creasing--this was pretty soon after application, too. Damn having oily lids.

Aaaand.. now, for the rest of my face! Plus the bf's face :)

Got all jazzed up.. to go get pho with a middle school friend and his girlfriend. Ah, it was a fun double date.. and pho is delicioussss in the middle of all this cold and rain! NOODLE CITY, if any of you are in Santa Barbara :) off Fairview, on Hollister.

OLD HAIR COLOR..

had some highlights in before but dyed over them.. but the dye faded. looked kinda cool but i wanted to redye mostly out of boredom.

some gifts from EKI~ neechan! ;) she gave me samples of yellow ocher 03 and natural ocher 02 from edit: DHC!! hahahaa.. SO i finally got around to trying them! ;P

can you see a difference? i can't.. hahahaa. thus the o__O expression. i put yellow ocher 03 on the side w/ the bangs and natural ocher 02 on the other side. i seriously spent 10 min trying to see a difference. LOL -___- i told the bf that i put different makeup on the halves of my face and he said "LIAR!". hahahahaa.

though i finally decided that yellow ocher matched me best, since i got a SLIGHTTTT white cast from the natural ocher. i'm talking about SOOO slight that i might be just making it up just so i can "decide" on which one's better.. hahahaa.

any foundie experts out there agree? disagree?

GO BUY FROM HER!! she has new headband styles up. if they look good on me they'll look good on anyone ;) trust me, i have a huge melon head and it fits reaaaaally comfortably. 

this wasn't her WHOLE package but i have yet to find those pics.. haaha. so i figured pics of her goodies + foundation samples would work :D

hehee. he has the cutest smile :) when he smiles foreaaaaal that is.. and he never has a real smile for the camera. or when he does, i look weird. what the heck? :(

icecream adventure

the boyfriend and i had just finished eating dinner.. i turn to him and say, "hmm.. i'm still sort of hungry.." and he asks what time it is. "10:23". (yea we're late eaters D: it's a really bad habit)

2 minutes later he turns to me and says, "aw, i looked up when mcconell's closes.. at 10:30." and i saw "aw.. well.. that sucks." 

all of the sudden he says, "LET'S GO!" and.. i light heartedly protest (it's ice cream! i can't protest too much), then we grab jackets and run down to the car.. 

make it there at EXACTLY 10:30.. right when they told people to get out, they're cleaning up chairs.. LOL. 

AND WE GET OUR ICE CREAM!

mmmm :) he's the best. he treated me too~ 

i know, i know.. it's not the most exciting story, but it was definitely fun (to do) and it had a yummy ending. what's not to love?

and on the way home, we're discussing how many times we've gone and how much money that equals up to.. and he says, "well, i guess i just like spending money on you.. and making you happy" :)

then we're at home.. eating our icecream.. i stick my leftovers in the freezer then tell him, "i'm going to blog about our ice cream adventure! 'cause i think it was really cute." 

and he does his big cheesy smile and says "yay!"

pictures + rambling

the roses :) don't mind the weird color balance.. they're actually super pretty in person! x3 and yes, they're sitting on my desk.. so i can look at them (and smell them) all day :) 

the weird couple in their robes.. tehee :) wooaaah my hair looks super long! i miss.. hair.. hahaha. what do you girls think-- short or long?? maybe should length? i need to compile a montage of sorts of all my hair lengths.. and figure it out.. ahha. the boyfriend is no help, he says he likes it all.

i should get the bf a sign that says "do not flash animals".. hahaa!

the vday get-up.. for the 30min we were outside... we ended up staying in bed til noon, grabbing breakfast at cajun kitchen (but ended up being lunch), changing back into our robes and eating breakfast/drinking lambic... hahah! it was pretty awesome, i must say :) 

ee, you can kind of see the necklace i got from the bf (christmas '07).. i should definitely wear it more often.. but i'm kinda feenin' a silver necklace! or just.. more necklaces.. hahaa. lost my favorite two somewhere :( :( while i was at the old apt.. so lame! 

so.. yes! my vday face. i didn't opt for colorful makeup (durr!)

cheeks: NYC mosaic blush in "pink".. then "peach" (may not be the actual names)

eyes: MAC shroom (inner corner, highlight, lined bottom, little on lid)

lips: maybelline moisture extreme D110 "rose glow" (MLBB--my lips but better??)

and.. ALL my makeup (besides MAC of course), i bought at CVS.. what a handy dandy little place. forgot what blog i saw it on but CVS/etc were having sales (BOGOF--buy one get one free).. so of course i had to stop by after i bought the robe :) tehees. i was gonna stock up on my blushes but NYC wasn't on sale yet :(

v-day!

so bryant was down in LA (silver lake), assisting for a catalog shoot.. i snuck HIS presents into a box and put it underneath one of his actual packages he got today (got 2) and stuck the other one on the couch underneath a few pillows.... went to go take a shower, he said he was in camarillo..

but RIGHT when i'm getting into the shower, he shows up with ROSES! :) yay~ pretty white/creme ones with pink on the tips!

i go shower, come out.. he's wearing his robe with a HUUUGE smile on his face. i TOTALLY tricked him (i don't know how.. there wasn't even a label on the package but he opened it like it was his second package anyways... TEHEE) aaand surprised him too! yay :)

so, while he's playing with his 2 new 2tb drives (yes, terabytes!).. i decided to look around.. saw FUZKITTIE'S new necklace, looked at tiffany's website.. decided it was too expensive, so looked through ben bridge's website and found a few cute ring styles.

i kinda like this whole trifecta deal.. but.. hmmm.. i like it and i don't. can't quite put my finger on it. $1495.00

is this not a sweet looking ring?? heeeeello, new pointer-finger-ring! well, that is.. if i have exorbitant amounts of money coming at me in the future.. or an engagement ring style i'd look into, i could change the alexandrite into diamonds ;) $1095

of course, i gotta add one heart-shaped item in here.. kinda cute, but i don't like how the two smaller jewels are "outlined".. and the bottom of the heart reminds me of a beard.. LOL. $595.00

plans for v-day? 

i.. really don't know. i think we have a picnic planned for lunch, but as for food, where it is, etc.. and the REST of the day.. i dunno. ahhaa. so i guess i have to update tomorrow! :)
