SASSY J'ADORE is having a giveaway for reaching 50 followers! how fab is that? congrats girl! :D prizes include a full-sized chanel nailpolish in blue satin and a sample of miss dior cherie perfume. go check out her blog! ;) and subscribe!

ABC GRRRL is having an equally fab giveaway for reaching 100 FOLLOWERS! congrats!! go check out her blog too! and don't forget to subscribe! ;)

not a big fan of pimping TWO things at once but y'know, when you need to, you need to! hahahaha. on to my IMOMOKO haul! :) don't forget, 10% off for the month of may when you use LUVMOMOKO!!

i ordered:
- kevin beautymaker color controller: green (want to get violet later.. i think)
- kevin beautymaker spot whitening corrector
- kevin beautymaker aqua eye concealer: medium #3
- dariya maegami holder (wish it wasn't pink! haha)
- and THEN some for a swap ;) caro! MEHEHEHE! items obviously not pictured.

only thing i've tried so far are the maegami holders.. and they work really well! doesn't even feel like i have something in my hair, yet my bangs aren't in my face. PLUS they're only about $5 for a 2pack, pretty good deal :) only, i wish they weren't pink.. but i can live. TWO THUMBS UP!

my CVS haul (no pictures.. can't find my point&shoot.. and am too lazy to take pics with my DSLR)
- revlon colorstay foundation in 250 fresh beige
- sally hansen lip inflation
- sally hansen diamond strength nail hardener

only thing i've tried is the diamond strength.. and all i can say is that it peels off my nails. only been using it for one day (24 hours now) so we'll see at the end of the week.

ALSO didn't get to a new BB today, since i can't find my p&s cam.. used my regular skinfood mushroom bb since i already have a "before/freshly applied" picture. applied around 12:15PM, went to class, ate at chipotle, went to the ducati dealership (bf bought me riding gloves! yee!), went to CVS to pick up a prescription, home.. had a play-fight (wrestling on bed since the bf LOOOOOOVES to lay on top of me when it's hot outside! and i refuse to submit! LOL).. he went to bike night, i read a mag.. he came back eventually, went to our new place to pick up my IMOMOKO package, came back, ate some steak taco's at our neighbors, pet their dogs for a good 30min or so.. then.. yes. weather was very nice again today :D cool, sunny.

tested at 9:40PM; after 9 hours of wear.

blot sheet says: oil! not MUCH but there's definitely some oil on my face.

looks like l'egere is winning so far. plus i like how l'egere felt when applying (more like water, sank into my face), whereas the skinfood mushroom bb is more of a paste and i have to use powder to set it to make my face feel smooth (and not sticky).

thinking about trying some of my new kevinbeauty stuff plus the foundation to make sure the color's right.. we'll see! really need to get a FOTD up here, hahaha!

l'egere waterdrop (pink) review

first of four reviews!

i did a quick review of my initial thoughts (color/scent) in THIS POST

TODAY:
i applied around 2:30PM.. went out to the farmer's market, nice cool weather outside. packed a few boxes, moved stuff into the new place, went to the carwash (my car was COVERED in ASHES!), vons for groceries, then home.

a non-strenuous day, weather wasn't hot or humid so no sweating.

bareface. my breakout has calmed down already! :) yay. i guess i'm doing something right! hahaha. also my undereye doesn't look very happy o.o even though i got a good night's rest. do they look yellow/green? i can't tell the color T__T; really to me, they just look.. like a tanned version of me. ahha.

with l'egere waterdrop. i actually ended up using quite a bit more than i usually do w/ bb's because it got all over the cap and onto the sides (where it screws) and it annoyed me (yeeeea.. shutup hahah).. so i used a q-tip to clean it, then i used the excess that i cleaned off.

with maybelline dream matte powder, contour and blush. i used concealer on my undereye (maybelline dual wand) but i didn't do a very good job, as you can see. i really like the texture of the maybelline wand but i don't think it works as well as my neutrogena concealer (which is thicker, more of a paste), which makes me sad. want me to do a concealer comparison? drop me a comment :D

face about 6.5hrs later (ignore the dark circles!). i didn't feel the need to blot at all but i tried a blotting sheet anyways and NOTHING! and i'd say my blotting sheets are pretty good (nuskin brand). my nose may look shiny but that's just.. my retarded nose. hahahah. i didn't reapply powder or anything, just took a pic. pretty good eh?

so far, so good! i've added double stars next to it on my wishlist (lots of face items w/ double stars! eek). coverage isn't amazing but i'd say it's about MEDIUM coverage. i would say it helped tone down the redness on my face, felt really, really natural (almost like water). TWO THUMBS UP!

as far as the two l'egere bb's.. i heard the one in the white/silver tube has less coverage than the one in the pink tube (the one i reviewed).. but don't take my word for it :P

also been trying
- thayer's rose petal witch hazel
- korres wild rose moisturizer/cream
(i'm on a rose kick, can you tell? hehehe).

i really like the moisturizer.. sinks right in and i didn't have ANY dry patches at all when i woke up this morning. i haven't been using a proper moisturizer (figured my serums would be OK) in awhile so it was a nice change. plus it has a really, really nice scent to it :) it may or may not have been in my sephora order, HEHEHE. aren't you curious??

i also like the witch hazel though i've only used it a few times so i don't really know if it's helping with oil control, lightening scars, etc.. though i hear it's supposed to do both. the smell is rose.. but a different sort of rose. it smells EXACTLY like something i had back in middle school (not makeup or skincare related) so that was a fun trip down memory lane.

also debating on doing a contest look tonight.. we shall see! ;)
hope you ladies are having fantastic days, where ever you are! <3

Love Pack + BB cream comparison

first off.. i want to say.. THANK YOU LADIES SO MUCH! you're all so helpful and AMAZING. there are so many different products it's hard to choose where to start off from.. probably what costs least ;) haha! NYX concealer pots and kevin beautymaker aqua eyes, here i come! if i won the lottery, you guys would definitely be getting huge love packs. one day, i swear! :P and if you didn't comment on the last post, i was asking about foundations/concealers (please respond!).

ah.. also, if someone's ordering from G-MARKET anytime soon, please let me know! i want to get the castledew waterdrop foundation.. but the shipping costs so darn much :(

aaaand.. does anyone know about how the NYX shades compare to MAC? katie recommended glow or medium for me.. HMM.. we'll see :3 i could just order like.. 4.. then sell the ones that don't match. LOL.

anywhooooooo..
the amazing jenn (beautymoogle) offered to send me some bb cream samples.. and i couldn't resist! here are some of my initial thoughts on them along w/ my skinfood mushroom bb.. AFTER i show off what i got :) hehehee.

mmmm goodies! i don't know what the greentea-cracker thing was but it's gonnneeeee. and i had to fend the bf off the nerds. MINE! hahaha.

FOUR bb samples!

not only that but i got samples of a BUNCH of other things.. some that were on my wishlist! i can't wait to try the korres wild rose thing xDD thankyousomuch!

L-R: skinfood mushroom, liole, liole waterdrop, l'egere waterdrop, hanskin gold

all smeared out.. you can see SLIGHT differences but it's basically the same, haha. i should've drawn borders or something. ah, well.. too late :P

SKINFOOD MUSHROOM
initial color thoughts: it's much more pink in comparison.
scent: more of a.. hmm.. herbal scent? compared to the other bb's at least.
consistency: creamy.

LIOLE
- initial color thoughts: looks much like my mushroom bb.. but more neutral.
- scent: much lighter scent.. of soap.
- consistency: creamy.

LIOLE WATERDROP
- initial color thoughts: looks much like my mushroom bb..
- scent: reminds me of.. soap. more of a floral scent (like aloe bb cream). stronger than liole.
- consistency: creamy.. but a little more watery than the other ones.

HANSKIN GOLD
- initial color thoughts:
- scent: much lighter scent.. like when you wash your hands, but 5 minutes after. LOL.
- consistency: what struck me was all of the other bb's spread around in the jar (in the mail).. but this one pretty much stayed in the same spot LOL. so, pre-spread.. i'm going to say this is much thicker. very creamy still.

L'EGERE WATERDROP
- initial color thoughts: woww it's dark! much darker than the other bb's. it also has some small glitter in it?
- scent: also a very soapy smell.. stronger than liole.
- consistency: very watery! it looks like it has bubbles.. like it oxidized?

OVERALL:
they all seem to lighten my skintone a little when i look at my hand directly under light. a few minutes later though, and they seem to sink more into my skin and they don't look so unnatural. l'egere waterdrop is definitely the only one with sparkles in it, though they're really small specks so it's not too annoying, but we'll see how it is on my face xD they all help with my skin yellowness and hide the veins on the back of my hand.

i can't wait to try all of these on my face! be prepared to see lots of my face in the next few days :) hehee.

thank you so much jenn! you're amazing!! <3

happy and unhappy

HMM, mac revamped their website. i think i'm liking it :) it reminds me of a setting in FINDER for MAC (i freaking adore mac! i hate using PC back at home). just wish it wasn't so slow! or maybe it's just my stupid cable (i miss DSL!). that's what sucks about santa barbara--COX Cable Co. sucks, sucks, sucks. then again, i'm just spoiled from home :) i wanna tap into that t1 and t2 shizzles! ZOOOOM~!

why am i looking at MAC? i want to find my HG lipstick! i like my viva glam IV but at the same time.. hmm... but, i dunno. who knows! i might just end up getting NYX round lippies, though i really do want to wait for a sale there (or at least free shipping).. though i haaate that i can't trust the swatches online.. and various other ones i find via google on blogs/etc aren't that reliable either. should i just go for it? who knows. maybe longs near my YL house or chloe at brea mall has 'em~ kaaatieee go look and tell meeee~ hahaha. i'll love you fo-evA! ;)

been using my mushroom BB from phyllis.. anddd.. my face has been sooooft! :) unfortunately the oil control isn't what i wanted :\ i tend to FEEL the oil at the end of the day (and i apply right after i get out of the shower.. depending on the day, anywhere from 8am-10am).. but i rinse my face with some water on a towel (yeayea i'm not the queen of skincare unfortunately) and feel nice and smooth :) the boyfriend couldn't stop touching my face! hahha.

SOO.. i decided to try the ALOE version (PINK said she liked it better). found it for $16.18 (though i think she JUST dropped her prices to $12 something??) on ebay with FREE SHIPPING.. ANNDD less than an hour (actually it was about 30 min) after i confirmed payment, i received an email from the seller saying she had ALREADY SHIPPED! say whaaaat? i'm stoked! :) plus she has 100% feedback--even better! link to her shop when you click "the seller"~

MORE happiness? i received TWO packages today--well, one was the robe for the boyfriend and the other was my FOREVER21 package! unfortunately we weren't satisfied with the robe :\ so i sent it back via UPS and am just gonna wait for my loan check to come in so we can go look around state street to find a SOFT, FITTING robe! i definitely found one in nordstroms but it was a little more than i wanted to spend--not TOO much but still, a little more. we'll see though, maybe i'll make it his vday AND birthday present.. AND 15 months... hahhaa. yes, i'm a broke beezie :(

oh oh-- but i love my forever21 stuff :) cuzz's present AND a pencil skirt + top. sweetness! i was a little iffy about the skirt but.. hey, why not. it'd be fun to wear on a girl's night out (whenever i go back home, haha) + heels. and the top is definitely different for me, but cute nonetheless (says the boyfriend)--who also made breakfast this morning (well.. lunch. we didn't wake up until noon! i dunno what happened--wait, yes i do. he was out at friend's until about 3am.. and i was too happy to just lay in bed and not wake up).

unfortunately.... i have 4 assignments to do BY SUNDAY~ and kelli is just NOT responding to me. i dunno, it's just the J in my ISTJ (go take jung's personality test! it's quite interesting--on humanmetrics.com) makes me just WANT TO KNOW. put it on my calendar! get it over with! aaahh.. KATIE TSAI, WHY WON'T YOU MODEL FOR MEEE? :(

and MORE unhappiness.. i'm basically out of spending money until next week (thursday, friday?). why oh why do bills have to be so expensive? $50 for internet, $50 for credit card, $40 for gas--stupid heater. no idea about electricity yet, that bill doesn't come until later.

just sent the other $100 for my website! wheeeee.. okay.. seriously now, which website did you guys like better?? EMANUEL OR SAMUEL
i'm secretly leaning towards samuel.. but i DO need your guys' opinions, mostly because it's people like you who are going to be going through my website, not (really) me. which do you think is more functional? easy to go through? easier to look at? /etc.

also-- remember a few posts back (hah, it was actually right before thanksgiving) when i was talking about interviewing with a husband/wife company to assist? weeeeell.. it's been awhile so i shot her an e-mail, asking her how she was, etc and most importantly.. if she still wanted an assistant... ANNDDD.. she replied and asked me if i wanted to INTERN!! :) :) it'd be part time, a few days a week but.. still! i was just TALKING with bryant, saying we needed jobs/etc and that i WANTED to get a part-time but it'd probably be nonphotographic.. buuuttt.. yessss! :) i hope this works out! definitely less "me" time but more PHOTO time and PHOTO TIME IS GOOD!
