a bit too shimmery on the inner lid.. changed it up to maybelline's LINEN and it worked lots better. but you get the idea (used MAC shroom for this set of pics)

katie, i used eyeliner on the bottom! i was too lazy for the top part :) hahha.

finally! though.. i tried it on.. and was very ehh about it. i guess i just don't have black heads on my face? and it was a weird sensation, peeling glue off my face.

BUT.. it was too small! booo.. so i reordered in M and sent the S back. shipped it to houston since we're gona be here for so long.. hope it comes SOON!

the happy couple! we survived the 3 hour plane flight. he was very happy to get off that plane. oh! and that's a tshirt i got him :) haha. it says "stop destroying our planet! it's where i keep all my stuff". 

NATCHITOCHES
guess what i did? did a revision sketch for a tattoo.. that.. GINA (bryant's mom!) was going to get. crazy huh? and at the last minute she decided to get actual notes instead of the hearts, which i'm glad for. the hearts looked a little cheesy. and she took my sketch to the parlor and GOT IT DONE! w00t, my second tattoo design that has been immortalized into someone's flesh. weird to think about huh. notes for you non-sight readers are D-C (son Daniel & wife kristin Campbell), A (daughter Amanda) and B (son Bryant). cool, eh? it was mostly her idea but i revised it 'cause it was a sleepless night and.. i felt like sketching. OH. she also didn't get the notes filled in so i think it looks sort of weird.. half notes.. eh. BLAH BLAH BLAH! gotta take a pic of the actual tattoo if i remember to :)

the crazy puzzle! what we did so far (took a pic in the morning that we were leaving) and the box. so cute but so hard :(

okay.. so i posted this mostly because i thought i looked good :) i don't know what bryant's doing. then again, do i ever really know what he's doing??

the magic bracelet i had to wear to the TSO performance.. we were supposed to have our own room (got the tix from bill--dad--'s company.. and they bought a room).. but the room wasn't open and bleh. didn't really matter. played pool--i schooled bryant~ yayuhhh :) ate some bar nuts (beer nuts?).. got a shirley temple that tasted like sprite.. hmm.. and that the ushers went CRAZY for.. if you didn't show your bracelet immediately.. all hell broke loose. jeez :| i understand it being special and all but.. eh. whatever. it was cool not being in long lines or anything :) like.. VIP! or something. except less cool 'cause the room wasn't open.

TRANSIBERIAN ORCHESTRA

okay.. so. described the bracelets already. so i'll keep the rest short 'cause i want to wash my face.. and find where bryant is. 

1. THE LIGHTING WAS FREAKING AWESOME. 

2. the guitarists's "battle" was awesome

3. the two pianists song/thing was DEFINITELY awesome.

4. the choir/singers were.. not so awesome. except for ONE guy! he was amazing. one girl had a soprano-like solo thing and she.. definitely had some flat notes. and way up high AND really loud? i left to go to the bathroom during this song and was glad for it. 

then we came back.. 6 people packed into 1 car. hm. not so fun for my butt.. or bryant's leg apparently. got home.. left to get some food.. dan + kristin came with us. went to TACO CABANA.. it was pretty good :) 

i'm thinking i should write a list of recommended places to go/reviews for the houston area.. just in case any of you decide to mosey on out here. but maybe it's more for me, haha. who knows if i'll even do it :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ADAM K LAM! (dec 28th). 

yorba days

BOOTS! i fell in love with the ones beth was wearing yday :( so i searched nordstroms online (if i searched in mall.. that would be suicide). and uh.. THESE ONES are.. nowhere near as cute at the same time. closest ones that i could find to hers :| so.. ho hum. beth, if you're reading this, can you look at the brand for me? it'd make my search lots easier :P hahha. hopefully they still have some--it's a few years old. bleh!

so i should finish up packing and all but.. i'm not. and i leave in 2 hours! wohoo.. go me :) 

so.. let's see. i haven't blogged since i got to yorba linda. we left on friday around.. 7pm? stopped in aguora hills to get some starbucks and food.. met up with mandee and trace at guppie's :) mandee's bro was there too. aaand.. apparently trace saw adam+them a few minutes before we showed up so i called adam and they came back (paul, winst, adam). got bbq sauce on our brick toasts (yuck!) but they changed it and gave us free icecream to go with, haha. 

saturday.. met up with paul, shaan  n winst at buca di beppo's :) ate there.. pretty good. had eggplant parmigiana and i think it could've been a little better.. but.. eh. s'all good. bryant's pizza ended up being really good. and their strawberry italian soda+cream was REALLY good.. hahah. i was mixing it and it spilled out the top. go figure :X 

theeeen.. after.. bryant and i went over to the brea mall--i totally forgot most people procrastinate with shopping for christmas. parking was MADNESS!! :( i'd say it took us about 30 minutes. went into the apple store.. got his airplane laptop charger adaptor.. walked around a little more.. every store i went into, i decided not to browse around mostly because the lines were so freaking long--like f21 :( madness. decided to just go home. after dinner, i picked up nikki.. met up with paul, winst, shaan and konni at coffeebean. sat around, traded stories, chilled.. dropped off nikki, went home.. stace called, was majorly bored :P so she came over with speed scrabble! talked for awhile.. she opened her present :) madness (tehee!). played 3 rounds (4?) of speed scrabble.. decided we were tired.. she left. 

sunday.. beth came over around afternoonish.. headed over to THE DISTRICT (if you guys haven't gone there.. go! oh! and katie! some stores i recommend: madison bleu, g stage, angelic, etc.. they're all in one aisle area). bought a black vneck ($4).. some jeans ($16).. a scarf (for bryant's mom, $12) and a tricolor ring ($9). sweet deal. would've gotten a turqoise scarf BUT SOMEONE TOOK IT AWAY FROM ME :( hmph. we were trying stuff on in gstage and bryant got bored so he left.. got out and called him to see where he was.. he was back in madison bleu.. 'cause i tried on a leather jacket (been trying a couple on for awhile) and just couldn't find one we both liked for the price. SO. went inside madison (stace works there, needed to get back) and he had a HUGE box.. and was disappointed 'cause he wanted to surprise me.. but he got it for meeee!! :) :) what a sweetie :) 

SO.. after that excitement.. went home, gave beth her gift (but she refuses to open it? lol :( dork!! open it!!). went to yamabuki (AWESOME sushi restaurant at the bottom of the PARADISE PIER hotel).. we know the head chef there. yummmmmm. bryant was amazed :) tehee. so good! you guys should go there too. tried to go to "joe's italian ice" (at least i think it's joe's) but it was closed!! boo.. so we went to pinkberry!! yummm :) hahh. i was equally happy. got home.. gave my mom the tricolor ring.. she was SOOO happy :) made me smile. 'cause she had one but lost it a few years back and was really sad.. so.. yupyup. happy day. then she hemmed our jeans :P hahha. happy day again! 

today.. woke up.. was supposed to go to breakfast but stace was feeling sick. poor girl :( hope you feel better soon!! though i can't deny, the sleep was really good for me too. woke up for lunch.. and.. am sitting around.. i guess since i'm at the end of my blog, i should pack. hmph..

OH! we didn't get a pic (stace, beth). boo..

presents!!

jaaade honey i'm glad you loved your presents!!! :) too bad i didn't take pics of what i gave her.. hmm.. maybe it's still up on the webbie. that hat and a purple scarf :) scarf is no longer up online.. but.. you know. pretty basic. scarf-like. and purple.

what i got for bryant's mom.. she looovesss giraffes. BUT THEY'RE OUT OF STOCK?? wtf :( pooheads!! it didn't say out of stock on the webbie!! grrrrr :(

and PART of the present/s i got for my mom :) she's always cold.. so.. why not get her a scarf?

if you want to know where all that magic happened.. WET SEAL baby! i've been completely out of love with that company for the past couple years.. but after going there with stace and majorly hurting my wallet ($80 something? i'm a cheap, broke college kid!).. i found the magic. especially for gift giving :) tehee. 

aaand.. since the rest of you haven't gotten your presents.. i can't post pics. 

man, it's not christmas yet?? boo! :(

the ungifted presents. boo :( and fyi the white present was wrapped in computer paper. i am THAT ghetto. well, i made it a little more difficult to open :) tehee. the BF opened up his present already, on account of him getting his new cam (he bought THAT himself, thank goodness. me, buying a canon 5d mkii??).. plus he was soooo cute. i couldn't resist.

btw-- i LOVE wrapping presents. i HATE using bags! i dunno why. just something about being precise.. and being able to be ANNOYING AS HELL with the inner wrappings but still being able to make it look pretty? yess :) love! don't they look all pretty? i think so. bought the wrapping paper at staples, if you're wondering. 

the COLD WEATHER outfit.. minus the jacket. wearing makeup shown below. i look FLAT here :( wtf? i mean.. i know i'm asian.. but still. at least i don't look chubs :) even though i am. i think i'm a HUGE secret-chubber. i may have built up stomach muscles just from how much i suck in my stomach. you better believe it! definitely starting up crunches again though.. helped a little :) and blahblah.. 

BLUES! +gold. didn't come out nearly as blue as i wanted it to (added too much gold) but i was in a rush to get to class.. so.. meh. deeeeal.

tried a new way to apply but figured.. my eyes are just way too damn single-lidded. oh well. i tried, didn't i? the whole "outer V" thing and all. to no avail!

overall.. i think it was pretty :) not perfect but i tried. and i need to remember to use my primer.. 'cause.. 5-6 hours later, the colors are pretty faded. didn't help that i was rubbing my eyes to get the sleepiness out during that damn 100 question test. well. rubbed once then remembered i had eyeshadow on and thought, "damn!". matched my clothes too--whoo. go me. 

MY BB CREAM (mushroom) IS ON THE WAY! sweeet :) thanks phyllis! sort of sad that i won't be here to get it--DARN leaving for christmas!.. but as long as it doesn't get sent back (or stolen!!), i'll be okay. 

on other news.. i freaking love KIMCHI. i do. it's amazing, especially when you're hungry and there's not much to eat.. plus.. it just tastes good. and deters the boyfriend LOL! just kidding.. i mean.. he doesn't like it but it's not a plus :(
