MY THOUGHTS:

it applies pretty heavy! more of a cream.. then again i tend to grab a lot from these sample jars, much more than i would use from my mushroom bb tube. i blotted a few hours before i took the last pic and re-powdered too (maybelline dream matte). it felt a little heavy.. then it felt OK.. heavy again, so i blotted/re-powdered, then it felt okay again. HMM. definitely one to retry, so don't take this assessment to be the final one! ;)

lips: dior high shine addict in orange ovation/spotlight coral

cheeks: all laura mercier palette! :)

contoured with the dark brown, highlighted with pearl shade, a mix of pink/peach for cheeks. the contour shade LOOKS really harsh but it's JUST THE LIGHTING, i promise. 

eyes: used benefit "flying down to..." as a base. the shadows are from the palette! :P

pearl shade for highlight/inner eye corners, mix of peach/pink for mid-lid, dark brown for outer v + half of bottom lid.

tried to get a pic w/ flash to show the highlighter more but i kept getting super washed out and.. i'm tired. either way, it's GORGEOUS! see, fuz! i use your gorgeous gifts!! thank youuuuuuu!! <3

RANDOM LIFE

i have a studio booked for 9am.. 'cause i totally switched wednesday and thursday in my head.. AAAHHH. i finalize a date/time to assist on a shoot w/ the people i'm interning with, which was both wed and thurs, but i can't make it on wed 'cause my teacher is very stickly with her attendance sheet (SIGH). but i still have both dates stuck in my head :|

so THEN i thought i was going to shoot this couple on thursday but i call her and she says wednesday is better.. so we set a tentative time/date.. 

chilling at home, then i realize that it's TUESDAY and that i need to shoot her+her bf on WEDNESDAY so i call her, thinking for some reason that i was assisting on WEDNESDAY.. i dunno. 

either way, the shoot on thurs we're meeting at 11:10AM and class on wed is at 12:45. phooof! :(

forever21 wishlist

product of my complete and absolute boredom. went through forever21.com (all images taken from there, if you hadn't noticed) and just browsed, added random things that i might not have otherwise into my cart, etc. and man, i could've done some HEFTY HEFTY HEFTY damage had i had money in my account! blaaaaah. kind of scary to realize. definitely not wimpy wimpy wimpy damage.. hahha. that commercial always gets a smile out of me.. even though i don't remember the brand of the trash bag. who knows, it'll be something blatantly obvious like "hefty trash bags!" or something.

oh, and did i mention that this isn't even everything that i added to my wishlist? jeeeeez. i know, right? what the heck is wrong with me ;P hahha.

accessorizing with some bangles.. haven't had these in years! hahha i'd just dangle them and listen to the different sounds.. so maybe it's not the best idea.

ah, there's the black :) i dunno about the ribbon/bow thing.. and they don't look all that comfy either (material).

interesting style.. i dunno about it being a turtleneck :\ would rather it be a cowl. but. i could deal with it. but i don't think it's at the top of my "want to buy" list.

i do like me some bubble dresses (even though i need to work on my legs!). don't know about the design at the top but it looks comfortable.

hm.. yes. i don't know about the sequins/whatever it's called AT ALL (i'm straying towards a NO).. but i do love the shirts that have the large LOVE letters on it :) and i do like the colors (sort of). reminds me of the neon phase when my brother was growing up.. so.... yes. i don't know. but i like the lettering :)

maybe with a different font, coming up on one side, in black and white.. hahaha. as in, a totally different shirt. awesome, sarah, awesome. 

and if you somehow read to the bottom of this.. two nights ago i slept for.. i dunno.. 14 hours? LOL. fell asleep at 6pm (because bryant left at 5:50), woke up for a little, went back to sleep, woke up for a little, went back to sleep.. woke up in the morning, snuggled with bryant and went back to sleep.. and.. eventually got up at 8am (maybe 9am). who knows. i forgot to post about it but MAN i felt AMAZING that day! hahha, no joke.

brown boots (wetseal, come on 15% discount!!). i think these ones are pretty cute, esp for being under $30.. then again i haven't been searching very hard.

* black flats (the insides of mine are dying, boo!).. and other colors too? maybe? something cuter than the ones that i got.. and actually in the right size? (i dunno if i told you guys but i think they're 1/2 size too big.. LOL. it was late at night at kohl's, i was sitting on the floor, desperate to find some newer black flats because the ones that were the "old ones" at the time were basically trashed). maybe add black wedge heels to that too, since my black heels (that i loooove) hurt my feet like no other! bleh :( maybe i'll just stick to wearing my ankle-boots.

- metallic shoes.. of some sort. i heard they elongate short legs? i don't really know what to do for this one either. flats of some sort? small wedge? smaaaaallll heel? i don't need to go crazy like my silver heels, even though they're very comfortable and i do like them. not an "everyday" heel in my opinion.. plus they're sort of trashed after having been through one dance and a few dinners.

* comfortable shoes (must be closed toed) for studio, assisting, etc. i have no idea what these would look like, etc. i dunno! i have flaaaat feet. flaaaaaat.. like.. texas flat, LOL. wedges are nice, adds height w/o the pain of 4 inch heels.

oversized t's or tunics that i can wear with stockings. yea, i dunno. i just quick-browsed through ONE website. i'm sure there are cuter alternatives out there. but the last one w/ a black belt + black stockings = cute? 

- different colored stockings in place of jeans?; burgundy/red, emerald, blue, dark grey, add designs? i dunno, they're just really comfortable haha. oh! and note to self: always get one size larger, just so it's not.. uncomfortable. 

- jeans; ONLY if they are on a ridiculously good sale and are ridiculously comfortable. i have.. white, light blue w/ blue paint stains (cough), mid-ish blue, darker blue, black/grey, daaaaaark blue/black and mid grey. 'course i play favorites with jeans and don't wear them all.. the white ones are hidden (esp with winter) and the paint-stained ones are just.. for.. whenever i go somewhere or do something messy/etc. ** i guess this is more of a DO NOT GET TEMPTED BY JEANS! sort of reminder.

- incorporate things of COLOR! of course it's winter and that means darker colors.. but.. for spring! since i won't have money to spend until spring/etc.

- get jewelry! think: larger body frame, larger jewelry. (maybe). still thinking this one over, just looked through "what not to wear" and their tips online :\ hmm. not necessarily earrings (i'm just so lazy with wearing earrings lately! i don't know what's going on).. more like.. necklaces? maybe a ring or two, i've been stealing the ring i got for bryant and been putting it on my left pointer finger, i think i like that. simple band. who knows. we'll see.

- formal-ish things.. pencil skirt? either that or figure out how to get MY clothes to look more formal. always good for interviews, actually ON the job, etc. i had no idea what to wear for the wedding i assisted at, besides the slacks that i had JUST bought. and i had left my blazer back in cali :\ boo.

- more basics! basics can always be accessorized. find a nice white v-neck tee that isn't see through...

- get a belt. a black one. maybe? hm..

- grey cardigan. maybe?? i really love my black one.. this is more of a "if you absolutely ADORE it then get it". ie: comfortable, wallet-healthy (sale/cheap/etc), great fit, etc. i don't know why forever21 only offered the one i bought in black and orange! orange of all colors.. and hey, yes, i do love orange but it was BRIGHT orange, not rust orange.

makeup:

- lipsticks; gotta find the color that i absolutely love. maybe try coral pink? plummy? gonna try a few colors off cherryculture, $1.50/ea can't hurt me too much.

- a good eyeliner.. the ones i bought off avon (i think) tug.. but are more precise than my eye kohl. hmm.. who knows. it doesn't matter too much, but i guess i should look into it. along with a mascara??

- blush! and bronzer! want to try the NYC mosaic ones.. gotta find a good reason to go to CVS or longs drugs and sneak a peek without bryant catching me looking.. haha. 

this might take me the entire year to get, jeez :\ but.. ah. well. i should not stray from this list!

pretty, eh? nevermind my shitty painting job ;P hahaha. it peeled off anyways! arghhhh.. even the red one. maybe it's just the nailpolish.. 'cause i switched my clear NP brands.. i dunno :\ worked OK when i put the color straight on my nail but it stained it a little, annoying. it's fine up until i go into the shower.. or do dishes.. hot water stuff.

NYC nailpolish (blue/red).. forgot the brand of the cinnamon/rusty one though.

NEUTROGENA LIPGLOSS

not really pretty separate.. but looks pretty good when i put them on together. haven't tried other lipstick/lipgloss combinations. not a fantastic lipgloss either (then again, it is drugstore..)

MONEY-WISE/MONEY-STUPID

the boyfriend wanted to get a tripod head for his new cam (that's coming.. hasn't gotten it yet!) 'cause it has a video function.. so..... i decided to get it for him :| we were both wandering around the store and he finally decided he was going to get it.. and i decided that the present that i'd gotten for him was just satisfactory (wasn't TOO excited to give it to him.. in fact.. i think i was more excited about wrapping it obnoxiously LOL). blah? maybe. i can afford it. he was super happy :) PLUS i told him it was his christmas AND bday.. but i might cave in and get him something for his bday too (more sentimental though). we'll see. excited for jan/feb session though.. will have hit the mulah jackpot with my stipend from my fin aid checks! but.. all must be saved towards rent so the parents will have an easier time. MAYBE a splurge. ONE! if it's a good sale.. and only if i've wanted it for awhile! WILL POWER!

been browsing around (makeup) websites.. man. my makeup wishlists on the bathroom door next to my comp.. has been growing. but i have been resisting!! i add things to my "basket".. look at the price.. and close the window. arrrgh. so hard sometimes.. but.. really. how much MU do i use?! next to none! i really should be using my eyeliner that i bought.. and be experimenting with decent looking eyeshadow combinations, not buying MORE stuff. plus with my ELF stuff coming tomorrow w/ bronzer/blush.. and whatever else i got.. i should be fiinneeee. RESISTING THE URGE. RESISTING THE URGE. woohoo for will power! :) and if there happens to be some sort of monumental sale or if i win the lottery.. i will know EXACTLY what to get.. and ONLY THAT!

haven't been looking so much around clothing websites.. thankfully. who knows what i would buy. though, i must say.. i haven't been very tempted by some of the new stuff that's been coming out. and even though i spent so much at wet seal (grr, stace! but we both know we love our purchases.. le sigh), i can't say i like their stuff online. I DO WANT A PAIR OF GREY JEANS. and pure black (maybe?). i was looking for a pair of dickies at mervyn's but they didn't have my size.. for some reason.. i couldn't fit into their 7's. wtf, right? guess it was just the brand. made me feel humungoooo. but i did NOT want a camel toe.. or.. whatever my issue with the pants were. hmm.. 

i DO.. however.. want a new wallet :| i just noticed HOW MANY FREAKING CARDS I HAVE. grr! it really takes a toll on my wallet. oh, and i love it so much.. my cheapo wallet from mervyn's.. you have served me well. and i'm oh so tempted to get an expensive wallet too.. one of those ones that clasps and has two sets of card holding.. things.. slots? but.. nOoo! save, save.. find a deal. or something. hah, it was funny.. i told bryant that i wanted a new wallet and the FIRST thing he says was "hintity hint hint!".. and it took me awhile to realize what he meant. i was NOT saying it as a hint. jerkface ;P hahaha. just keeeeddin'. we're doing really well! :) 

and.. i think.. i don't really need a new wallet. it's more of a vanity thing. plus i'm super picky about my wallet.. because.. well.. i see it all the damn time. took me awhile to find a new one from my OLD OLD one.. so.. meh. i'll deal. though i think i did find a really cute coach one, one time.... i don't remember. plus it was coach.. and i was still very frugal at the time..

MY VAIN WISHLIST
($248.00) i adoooreeee this design.. but.. wish it was on a normal wallet (like one of the two below). i don't mind the zip up but i think i'd have LESS card slots.. and seems like it might be annoying to get stuff from that space (constricted by zipper?). i could totally be wrong though, never used anything like it. but oh so cute!

($228.00) also cute in brown. tons of card space. i dunno if i like the clasp as much though. it'd probably get unclasped in my purse.. and i would get annoyed. i wish the first one had as much card slots as this one.

($208.00) cute, no? :) lots of card space plus all the other essentials. black is also cute.. might be better 'cause.. i dunno how clean the inside of my purse stays. not too crazy about the white stitches but if i ever got one.. i could most definitely deal with them, if you catch my drift ;P 

but.. i could probably find a wallet just as cute at a regular store too. should've looked when i went to mervyns.. grr. oh well. i will eventually get a new one :)
