bargain hunting

yes, yes.. the wonderful katie (bbyxkt) is the one who matched my shade at MAC and also in the maybelline dream powder :) teheee. much love to you! x0xo- though i should've watched her to see how she matched it (or at least what the difference in the shades was, especially at mac!).. so now i'll be hopeless without her when it comes to base makeup shopping. tehee. sucks for you katie ;)

i snagged me some ECOTOOLS brushes.. i bought the 5-piece set ($10.99) and a single all-over-face brush ($7.99) at target (yes, i did buy me another dream matte powder; hey, it was 20% off!). MAN OH MAN.. i can't believe how amazingly soft these brushes are! i mean.. i WAS using ELF ones :\ that i thought were amazing.. and i really am quite partial to their blending brush.. but the blush/face brushes? AMAAAAAZING.. hahahaa. i didn't even check to see if i put on powder/blush well because i was just so mesmerized by how soft things are.. and btw, i am a HUGE tangible person.. i used to shop for clothes by how they felt :X though i was sad that there wasn't a contour brush (i was using the blush brush, and it WORKED (i think.. LOL!) but i like just KNOWING that it's angled (yea i'm weird).. so i went out and bought a POSH angle blush brush at longs drugs.. maaaan, it's so soft!! i'm totally trashing my ELF ones RIGHT NOWWW! ridiculous man! hahaha.

now, just to get some nice eyeshadow brushes.. or just stick with my ghetto ELF ones, which are nicely in my price range. i'm just so used to the shape of it (dome top) which may not be the BEST option but i like it (compared to my other shitty drugstore brushes.. LOL).

now i just have to get over how soft they are and figure out if they WORK. but i'm sure they do. and if they don't, i don't think i'd be able to discard them and head back towards my ELF ones....

i'm slooooowly upgrading~!

aaaanyway.. so's how i posted about getting MAC "handwritten" (i think??) e/s from costco? WELL.. i went to nordstrom's rack today to look at shoes.. and WTF they have makeup there?? lots of STILA stuff! so i was looking around.. opening up boxes (even though RIGHT when i was leaving to go look at shoes, i found out there's a sign that says not to open the boxes LOL oops).. i found a CONTOURING TRIO.. and that's like $40 online right?? WELL.. at nordstrom's rack it was $14.97! and i have no idea WHY it's so much cheaper, but it totally was. and i'm totally NOT complaining :)

couldn't see if it WORKED but.. you know. sigh.. i need to get over the softness. but i JUST bought them yesterday and didn't even get to use them yday SO.. i still have a few days :)

also bought 2 new nailpolishes

one at target, sally hansen "gunmetal" (dark grey/charcoal).. and one at nordstrom's rack, savina "black mist" (black with silver glitter). i'd gotten a really nice pretty clear/sparkle one at longs drugs.. put it on.. pretty, pretty. today, i looked at my nails and they had turned PINK! what the heck?? but i know someone who would LOOOOVE this nailpolish.. tehee. first name starts with an S and last name ends with a ATA~ 0=]

bought some new shoooooes!

so.. i went out wanting a new pair of black flats. i found some at kohl's (did i mention i got some stuff on clearance? loove!) but they didn't have them in my size! plus customer service there SUCKS so i didn't feel like waiting around a SECOND longer for them to call another store.. sad, sad. so i went out with my mommy today to a few places.. nordstrom's rack being one :) found some sexxxxy strappy heels! oh yes~ i also found some nice steven madden 1-inch heels but.. they were in some odd purple-brown-mauve(?) color :\ booo..

went to some OTHER shoe store... i forget what it's called, but i didn't buy anything there. store looked nice but.. ehhh. wasn't that great. empire shoes or something?? it's in the same shopping center as nordstrom's rack.. katie correct me if you know!

THEN we went to payless (where i was planning on going in the first place).. kept looking up and down the aisles but NOTHING! found some 3-inch black heels.. but they were too plain.. plus i desperately wanted to find flats :| but.. nothing! finally i decided to try on some strappy flat brown sandals.. thought they were EHH because, you know, i definitely don't have anything like that at ALL.. but the girl in the ad was wearing them and SHE looked cute, plus my mom said they were cute (she has pretty good taste).. so i decided, why not? hahaa.

got home, removed said turned-pink polish (i felt disgustingly girly) and painted on gunmetal :) ah, much better. of course.. we were leaving to go to dinner (joaquin's!).... and i didn't want to mess up my manicure (ha ha, disgustingly girly i tell you!), but sort of wanted to wear my new sandals.... so my amazingly awesome boyfriend..... put them on for me!! LOL. he's so good to me :) tehee. went to dinner.. was good.. walked to longs drugs after (it's like.. 200 feet.. LOL) where i bought the POSH brush (amazingly didn't get anything else! woohoo.. i was looking at the rimmel lip gelly things but decided against it).

mom just walked in and gave me "JOE BLASCO" brush cleaner.. i wonder if it's expired?? what the heck is it? hahaha. i definitely haven't heard of it.. and it doesn't really come up on google search (at least not as "joe blasco brush cleaner").. hmmm.. but i guess it would be nice if i washed these brushes once in awhile, LOL :X





aaaaaand.. what has bryant been doing while we've been down home? HMM.. he went out and bought himself a DUCATI HYPERMOTARD~ apparently he got them down almost $2k.. and he's been wanting a ducati.. aaaand been wanting to ride (his gsxr's front is traaashed).. so.. eh. i guess it's validated.

oh! speaking of expensive things.. i totally fell in love with this peacoat at EMPORIO ARMANI.. of all places!! it was navy blue.. the PERFECT length.. light material, so perfect for spring or even summer.. it was just.. everything i didn't know i wanted! LOL. i knew i wanted a navy one.. maybe a little lighter than my heavy black one but it wasn't necesary.. i wanted one that was a little longer in length 'cause i see so many cute peacoat+legging pics.. and this salesman (sold bryant.. a LOT of stuff) just walked out with it and.. man oh man oh man. i almost died. then i REALLY died when i saw the pricetag (and my heart broke).... almost $900! i'd post it but emporio doesn't have it up on their site, poo!

i don't think i've ever wanted an article of clothing as much as i did that one.. and yet it's so freaking expensive. SIGHHH.. i knew we shouldn't have walked in there!! the salesman found bryant a one button blazer that he also liked.. was $800 i think? man oh man :\ i have retail blues! i'll get it.. one day.. when i'm rich.. and it isn't in style anymore :| and therefore isn't sold anymore boohoo..
