if you followed me on twitter, you may have heard that i jumped boats from NIKON to CANON! it's more a business decision than a personal one, haha.. i was quite content w/ my d300 but it has to do with the business, file compatibility, etc. so we took pictures of all of my gear, posted it up on 3 camera/photography forums and.. it all sold! and.. then we bought a camera from one of the forums.
introducing the oh so DIESEL (as L says haha) CANON 7D!
the unveiling.... i made the bf let me open up the package hahahaa :) and i got dibs on playing with it first. even though this cam is technically the business' and therefore we now SHARE all of our (previously his) gear.. still.. i'm callin' this one MINE and he has his 5D-MKII. some test shots when we ran some errands to office max, cost plus and sur le table. the last two were purely for me to get some props for my shoot tomorrow but a few other things got into my basket.. like.. PEZ for the bf.. and chocolate covered ginger snaps.. heehee.

aaaand.. so.. i decided to try out red lips (as you can see in the pics).
shot w/ two different white balance settings.. so.. yes. haha i kind of sheered out the red a bit as it was one of the few times i've ever worn red but it was preeeetty darn red. i just didn't capture it well--you can catch a glimpse of it in the pic of me above. much redder. if you're interested, it was MAC dubonnet with some CHANEL silex (thanks wuzzy!!) dabbed on in the middle of the lips (not that you can really see it in these pics). on my eyes i had URBAN DECAY half baked and some random darker brown eyeshadow (thanks wuzzy!)--inspired by HOLLY's recent tut ;)
OOOO! also on a makeup related note, i have a story about the bf and i got a makeup organizer thing that will definitely help me rotate my makeup haha. but that's for next time.

you inspired me to try a red lip tonight, even though i ended up staying in :) you look lovely with the red lip - bold color, but the rest of the makeup subtle enough to let the lipcolor get all the attention :)

Wow chick, you can totally rock the red lips!! And the camera sounds awesome! Love the shot of the radar detector. And it reminded me that I have to go buy some replacement suction cups for mine since they dried up so much that they cracked in half. haha!
