internship

courtney's preeeeeetty awesomesauce :) i really like working for her! nevermind that it's not paid--she teaches me about office stuff, how to run a business, scanning and categorizing, how to submit to a magazine, how to submit to a stock site, and will even set up some shoots. i was late the first day (EEEK!) about 5 minutes.. because of freaking CONSTRUCTION (arrrgh i was stuck behind a cement truck thing that was trying to manuever around, so i was sitting at the same signal for 4-5 lights! i was freaking out!) but i got there, apologized, and she said "oh.. 5 minutes isn't too bad!" and totally disregarded it. i talk to her the whole time i'm there and we talk about lots of things.. photographic and personal. she's always willing to answer my questions and she's just.. really cool! i'm super glad i'm interning for HER.. plus she already told me that when i graduate, she knows lots of cali photographers so she could definitely help me out there. time just seems to fly when i'm there :) plus my days start at 11:30, she says i can leave whenever, works around my schedule.. YES. i nailed the bombest internship ever :) !

HMM.. today.. we drove down from santa barbara down to laguna beach to meet up with bryant's parents (down in san diego for a conference/meeting thing) for lunch. it was pretty fun :) i got a new ring (belated birthday present)! it's simple, hammered so it has a nice shine/facet thing going on. got back home.. eating here (curry!).. then heading back. have FOUR assignments to shoot tomorrow (ugh!). not fun. really, we shouldn't even have come down.. but.. it IS his parents.. it was really nice coming down (laguna beach is nice.. plus the weather was awesome!).. and i'll just have to suck up the suckiness of shooting so much tomorrow. boo :(
